Keeping Families, Pets Together

Compassionate, Human Animal Care & SupportPR Dobe mix

Boone County Animal Care & Control (BCAC) receives more than 3,000 animals each year. Due to the team at BCAC, every intake is more than just an animal or number – they are treated as a part of someone’s family. Our goal is to provide humane and compassionate services for every animal in our care, and ultimately reunite them with their family, or find a new family to welcome them into their home.

Our services at BCAC include:

  • Animal control
  • Adoption services
  • Foster programs
  • Community outreach and education
  • Pet licensing
  • Pet food bank
  • Owner relinquishments
  • Spay and neuter services
  • Community cat programs (TNR)
  • Stray holding
  • Cruelty investigations
  • In-house medical care
